Here’s our pitch for a recent project for a botanical interior, and it got me thinking how you could create this at home a less bold and in your face version that could still bring the botanical feel into your environment. I love this current trend, its outlandish, over the top and in your face but maybe only a couple of elements a hint of botanical work for some and would still create a great feel.
There’s some brilliant statement pieces on the market currently that would more than enough create your wow factor without going 100%. I mean if you’re an all or nothing kinda girl like me then group your cohesive yet probably clashing prints and fabrics together to get this high octane look.
https://www.anthropologie.com/ has some brilliant pieces in currently, this post is not sponsored in any shape or form but just things I really love and feel would sit well with the more modest amongst you.
What I love about this interior is they have just left the statement wall paper do all the talking here and it sits so well with the muted colour palette of the rattan bistro chairs. Obviously anyone that has read my blog will know I’m a big fan of the rattan and even these bentwood chairs which were always the first to go out of my bar schemes a few years ago! Funny how things change and come back around in what feels like a few years. I think simplicity is key if you are wary of going too OTT.
Botanical can be taken in many forms, at its simplest adding some plants some living greenery in your space makes a huge difference, but having the strength to introduce a couple of more outlandish pieces to your interior can really make a statement. It doesn’t mean you need to go the whole way with full print clashing. There are plenty of soft furnishing options that can create this look, but for me the more outlandish and out there schemes work well to have the unapologetic bold statement, yes its not timeless it will need a refresh in a few years but man you’ve got to love a full on botanical scheme!
